Thank you for sending in things for our Fall Festival basket. I think we are going to have an awesome basket!!

Don't forget Fall Festival is Saturday, Oct.2. PTO has worked so hard on this event!! Thank you ladies for all you do!!!

We will be starting our 2nd unit in Reading this week. The topic will be "Smart Solutions". We will also be wrapping up our Plant Unit this week. I think the kiddos have enjoyed watching their plants grow.

It is review week!!! We will be taking our Unit 1 test this Friday... the test will cover all the skills and strategies we learned from each story. Please review these with your kiddo.

For our Fall Festival basket we are collecting items that deal with the theme "Let's have a BBQ".. we have had a couple things sent in. If you have any items you would like to donate, please send those in. We would LOVE to have a great basket for our Fall Festival this year.

September 13-17

Hey parents!!
We had another great week!! Progress Reports will go home Thursday, if you have any questions or concerns feel free to call me.

We are still working on our plant unit. This week we will be measuring the growth spurt of the plants, learning the parts of a flower, and the importance of bees.

We will be testing on 5's in multiplication this week. The newsletter originally said 3's but I had the kiddos change that to 5's.

Hey Parents!! I can't believe we have already been in school 5 weeks!! I've said it before and I'll say it again.. I am so lucky to have your babies!!

We have been studying plants during Science. We have planted our Brassica Rapa plants and are having fun watching them grow. This week we will be thinning and transplanting our seedlings. I hope to post some pictures this week.
*Don't forget to be working on your seed project that is due Friday, Sept.10.

I loved the timeline projects that everyone sent. Those pictures are so precious!! I loved reading them. I will put them on the wall for the next week or so and then I will send them back home.

Keep practicing those multiplication facts at home!!

Also, thank you for your patience on Tuesday take home folders. I have had AMSTI training for the last 4 weeks and have had to send them home on Wednesday's.

Welcome

We had another GREAT week!! I am so happy I have YOUR babies... I couldn't ask for a better group of kiddos!!

This coming week (August 23-27) We will start learning multiplication!! We will start with 0's and 1's. Every Friday we have a multiplication test (not timed) to see what they know!! We will learn tricks/games/songs to help them remember the facts, but it is so important they study at home. There are LOTS of games posted on the website. Just click on "links" and it will take you to some fun games for the kiddos to practice those facts.

Please keep the Tlamanalco family in your thoughts. Thank you for the money you have sent. If anyone still wants to make a donation to the family, they are still taking up money.

Friday we sent home a packet of forms to be filled out. Please get those in as soon as possible. I told the kids if they get those in on Monday, I will have a special treat for them.
